Central Zone Development Year Kicks Off with Exciting Initiatives

The Central Zone is thrilled to announce the start of an ambitious and transformative development year for all participating teams. While the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) has mandated that there will be no promotion or demotion to and from the Premiership this year, the Central Zone remains dedicated to fostering growth and enhancing the cricketing experience for players, teams, and fans alike.

This year, the Central Zone is taking bold steps to elevate the quality of cricket by reintroducing Reserved Team Cricket. This initiative aims to provide aspiring cricketers with more opportunities to gain valuable match experience and sharpen their skills. Teams will benefit from a structured system that nurtures young talent and builds a robust pipeline of future stars.

In addition to this, the Zone is rolling out a series of innovative programs to support its players both on and off the field. One such initiative is the introduction of a comprehensive player tracking system. This system will allow team management to monitor player performance, fitness levels, and progress throughout the season, ensuring that every player receives tailored support to maximize their potential.

To further emphasize the importance of player welfare, the Central Zone has partnered with Health Net Caribbean to launch an exclusive Health Plan for its cricketers. This plan provides access to top-notch healthcare services, ensuring that players remain fit and healthy, both physically and mentally. Whether it’s recovering from an injury or undergoing regular check-ups, players can now feel secure knowing that their health is a top priority.

There has never been a more exciting time to play cricket in the Central Zone. These initiatives highlight the Zone’s commitment to creating a thriving, supportive environment where players can excel and teams can grow stronger.
